A TIP

You've probably heard of the '4 Day Week' concept by now.

In summary, it's a shortened work week where employees work only four days but continued to be paid for five (on the condition that their productivity remains the same).

The concept was invented by a New Zealand company, Perpetual Guardian. In 2018 they
conducted the first ever trial of this model. At the end of the trial period they found that productivity had not only been maintained but had improved!

Other successful trials of the Four-Day Week have been run across the world, including by Microsoft Japan, Unilever New Zealand and the governments of Iceland, Scotland and Spain.

Over the weekend I saw info in the media about a structured pilot program launching in ANZ/Pacific, led by the 4 Day Week organisation,. By joining this program organisations can gain access to the expertise, tools and resources they need to run a smooth and successful trial.

So, if you've been thinking about piloting a 4 Day Week in your business then now is the time!

Or if you just want to learn more about the idea, the 4 Day Week website is an excellent resource you can explore.

A QUOTE

'Work hours are not set in stone. They have changed in the past in response to the will of the people and the needs of the time. It is time they do so again.’
