A THOUGHT

Women are leaving senior leadership roles at unprecedented rates. Gen Z are more interested in flexibility than climbing the career ladder.

These trends don't bode well for organisations looking to ensure their best and most diverse talent become their leaders of the future. What can we as individual leaders do though?

If we're to have any hope of reversing these trends, we badly need more leaders to prove that it's possible to reach the top of an organisation while working flexibly. Which means that one simple thing every leader can do is role model, encourage and advocate for increased workplace flexibility.

A QUOTE

"For every woman stepping into a director-level leadership role, two are choosing to leave. The pattern has the potential to unwind decades of progress toward gender equity and increased female leadership in the workplace"

– Alexis Krivkovich, co- author of the “Women in the Workplace” report

A QUESTION

What can you do to build more flexibility into the way you work, and to make these changes visible to those around you?
